Brasov, Romania — June 15, 2012 — A special event took place yesterday at the Dramatic Theater ‘Sica Alexandrescu’ in Brasov, organized by Brasov Film Center S.R.L. and honoring the commencement of the International Film Workshops in Brasov, Romania.
Romanian and international students who have been selected to participate to the Workshops were present together with their parents and relatives.
Film Director and creator of the Workshops, Bruno Pischiutta as well as Film Producer Daria Trifu, president of the Brasov Film Center, were also present to address the guests and the media.
On behalf of the City Hall, Vice-Mayor Adrian Gabor and Executive Director Cecilia Doiciu were in attendance. Mr. Gabor welcomed the students and he thanked the organizers and the members of the Brasov Film Center team for establishing Brasov as the core of the international film industry in Transylvania. Mr. Gabor also assured Ms. Trifu and Mr. Pischiutta of the Mayor George Scripcaru’s continued support for Brasov Film Center’s initiatives in the city.
Special guests included Doru Munteanu, Romanian cultural personality and, Marioara Popa, Director of the Lyceum de Arte Hans Mattis Teutsch.
In line with Brasov Film Center’s agenda, the majority of the attendees are from Transylvania, a few are from Bucharest and other Romanian cities while some are international.
